Toyota Innova is available with both petrol and diesel engine option. The variants of Toyota Innova which come with a petrol engine option is powered by 2.0L, 1998cc, 1TR-FE, 4 Inline Cylinder petrol engine with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) that offers high engine performance. The EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) technology makes Toyota Innova highly fuel efficient and offers a mileage of 8.3kmpl in city and 12.5kmpl on the highway. The diesel variants of Toyota Innova are powered by 2.5L, 2494cc, 2KD-FTV, Diesel with Intercooler Turbocharger, 4 Inline Cylinder and with Common-Rail Direct Injection fuel supply system. This engine, too, delivers high engine performance with excellent fuel efficiency. The mileage of the diesel variants of Toyota Innova at urban roads is 10.2kmpl while on highway it gives 13.5kmpl mileage . Toyota Innova diesel with BSIII emission norms is also available in the market. Their engines are almost same as BSIV but tuned slightly different and hence mileage is also low.

The remaining variants of Toyota Innova are equipped with 2.5L, 2494cc, 2KD-FTV, Diesel With Turbocharger, 4 Inline Cylinder and with Common-Rail Direct Injection fuel supply system. This engine delivers higher engine performance with excellent acceleration and lower level of NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness). This diesel engine produces 102 PS of maximum power at 3600rpm and 200Nm of maximum torque at 1400~3400rpm .

 

Acceleration & Pick-Up:- The drivability of the Innova makes it a real winner than its outright performance.

The petrol variants of Toyota Innova which are powered by the 2.0L, 1998cc, 1TR-FE, 4-Inline Cylinder petrol engine with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) produce maximum power of 132PS at 5600rpm with maximum torque of 181Nm at 4000rpm. This engine delivers higher performance with great acceleration which facilitates Toyota Innova to cross the 100kmph mark in just 12.8 seconds and touches the top speed mark of 170kmph. On the other hand, the diesel variants of Toyota Innova are equipped with higher capacity engine. However, in terms of power and acceleration they deliver lesser engine performance in comparison to petrol variants of Toyota Innova. These diesel variants are packed with the 2.5L, 2494cc, 2KD-FTV, Diesel with Turbocharger, 4 Inline Cylinder and with Common-Rail Direct Injection fuel supply system. Diesel engine makes Toyota Innova able to cross 100 kmph mark in little over 15 seconds to touch the top speed mark of 149kmph.

 

Toyota Innova Exteriors:- Toyota Innova exteriors have received quite a few cosmetic changes in 2012, and more premium MPV is the outcome. Most of the changes are done on the outside of Innova. While headlamps are more angular now with protruding turn signal lamps that enhance dignified appearance, bumpers are also restylised. The fog lamps now become oval and beautifully enclosed while the stylish grille becomes upright with three chrome slats and Toyota badging at the centre of the topmost slat. Above the grille is a chrome thick band. The Bonnet has a more prominent V now while the windshield is large sized. Innova has slanted A-pillar and D-pillar. The side profile gets new skirting with curvy design that continues till the rear and alloy wheels and tail lights receives new profile plus a chrome band is nicely placed on the back to add premium touch to the MPV . The flowing pattern of wheel flare shows dynamism attached with Innova. The ORVMs get turn indicators so it adds practicality. The tinted windows are wide enough with a quarter windows for rear seats that cannot be opened. The MPV overall, has cutting-edge aerodynamics with flowing and smooth character lines and semi-concealed wiper. Toyota has tweaked Innova and the new version is higher, thus giving good ground clearance to it for bumper-free ride. Rest the facelift looks similar to the old version except these few changes.

 

Toyota Innova Interior:- The Innova has one of the most plush interiors in the MUV segment. It is spacious and even the seats are comfortable. After the recent facelift, there is no complain of missing brownies as it now has all the frills.

The elegantly designed interiors of Toyota Innova are class-apart, grabs the maximum attention of buyers. Innova is both-eight and seven-seater, as per requirement. Bearing stylish interiors,Toyota Innova is packed with multiple luxurious features . Plastics used in the esteemed MPV are done in beige shade. The single tone dashboard with advanced graphic instrument panel and dark faux wood trim lying below it, the leather covered steering wheel and gear knob and other leather upholstery looks amazingly beautiful and complements the stance of this MPV. Some other features that make 2012 Toyota Innova interiors appealing are Ergonomically designed Instrument Panel, High Quality dual tone seat covers, Wooden Finished Panels, Multi Information Display , Optitron Combimeter with Illumination Control, Tachometer, Tripmeter, Front Map Lamp (With Overhead Storage Console), Glove Box, etc. A 6 inch touchscreen for audio, DVD and Bluetooth telephony functions is on-board now. The fresh 4 spoke steering wheel also gets audio controls. A reverse camera will take the practicality quotient to another height in 2012 Innova.

Engine and Performance:- The 2.5-litre engine on the Innova produces only 100bhp and there are more powerful engines available on other MUVs.
