Nissan Sunny:-

Mileage:- The K9K engine is almost as old as Fiat’s multijet, atleast in India. Starting from the Logan, it has made a good reputation for its frugal nature.

The sedan version of Nissan Micra - Nissan Sunny - sports a 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder petrol engine that generates 98.6bhp of peak power and 134Nm of max torque each via five speed manual gearbox. The sedan is fuel efficient in order to set it in the highly competitive Indian auto market. Nissan Sunny delivers a mileage of 15 kmpl in the city and 17 kmpl on the highways .On the other hand, the newly launched diesel variants are powered by the K9K 1461cc 4 cylinder engine has a fuel efficiency of 21.64 kmpl (ARAI certified) and is ideal both for a city drive as well as for exploring the countryside.

Power of Nissan Sunny:- The Sunny is more powerful than the Micra by about 20bhp, which makes it more powerful on paper. The petrol too is powerful.

Nissan Sunny is loaded with 1.5 litre powerplant in petrol. The 4 cylinder engine is capable enough to crank out max power of 100 PS and a max torque of 134 Nm through a five speed manual gearbox. The powertrain carries Japanese engine technologies thus promising greater power and acceleration figures. The V-platform of the car ensures less weight and higher performance, other direct result is more fuel efficiency.

Built at the Nissan plant in Chennai, the diesel variant of Sunny is powered by a modern 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder K9K engine that churns out 86PS of power @ 3750 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm @ 2000 rpm, and five speed manual transmission . It is the first time Sunny is offered anywhere in the world with a K9K Diesel engine. The K9K engines are proved to deliver better power and torque figures as they are down-sized thus enhancing turbocharger response at low engine speeds.

Acceleration & Pick-Up:- The acceleration of the Sunny petrol and diesel are good, and there aren’t any issues at all.

As far as the acceleration of the Nissan Sunny is concerned, the sedan ensures positive response and wouldn't let you down for sure, as it is loaded with refined 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder engine. It does 175kmph and sprints from still to 100 kmph speed in 15.8 secs .

The other engine option is the diesel one. Nissan Sunny XL and Nissan Sunny XV are also available in diesel engines. They use k9k diesel engines developed by Renault-Nissan alliance which makes for 86 Ps of power and 200 Nm of torque. Common rail fuel system is used. Exact details about the top speed and acceleration would be updated shortly but few things are crystal clear that this engine ensures Good low end power, Smooth revving and balanced drive.
